The History of Bob West
Bob began his "TRIBUTE TO ELVIS" in the fall of
1975 thrilling audiences of all ages with his high energy show at private
parties, fundraisers, corporate functions, and festivals. He has toured
Many of Bob's fans say he is a natural born, "ELVIS TRIBUTE ARTIST", because he has so many traits and characteristics similar to the King of Rock and Roll: good looks, wild moves, a sensuous style, charisma, and a passionate voice Elvis himself would be proud of.
Bob's range in music is recorded at a range of 2 1/2 octaves, coincidentally the same range that Elvis Presley could reach. That range is reached in songs such as "Hurt" and the ever popular gospel song, "How Great Thou Art".
Elvis' former producer, director, and band leader, Al Dvorin, said, "Bob is one of the best at portraying Elvis. He is the epitome of what Elvis would have wanted as a salute. Bob looks and sounds just like Elvis, he puts on a great show". Dvorin whose voice uttered those now famous words, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Elvis has left the building. Thank you and good night." said "Presley had complete control of his audience, just as Bob does at his shows."
Bob's most appealing trait is that he has the ability to connect with the audience and make them feel like they are part of the show. Many fans from across the country think of him not only as their favorite entertainer, but also a good friend. Bob is very personable and has the ability to reach people and touch their hearts through Elvis' music.
